New Clients

Welcome – What to Expect at Massage 250

We’re so glad you’re booking your massage with us! Here’s everything you need to know before your first visit so you can feel prepared and relaxed from the moment you arrive.

Before Your Appointment

  • Insurance Information: If you’ll be direct billing, please bring your insurance card and details with you.
  • Intake Form: You’ll complete a short in-person intake form at the clinic. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes early so you have time to fill it out without rushing.
  • Clothing: Wear something comfortable. You’ll be appropriately draped at all times during your massage, so just come as you are.
  • Hydration: Drink water before and after your massage to support circulation and recovery.

What to Expect

  • 60-Minute Session: Your booked time includes assessment, disrobing and redressing, hands-on treatment, and homecare recommendations.
  • Tailored Treatment: Every massage is adapted to your goals and comfort level. Whether you prefer gentle, restorative techniques or deeper therapeutic work, we’ll adjust pressure and approach to suit you.

New to Massage? Here’s What to Know

  • Your Comfort Comes First: You are always in control. If you’d like lighter or deeper pressure, more focus in one area, or if anything feels uncomfortable, just let your therapist know.
  • Privacy & Draping: You’ll change in a private room, and you’ll always be draped with sheets/blankets — only the area being worked on is uncovered.
  • Communication: It’s encouraged to speak up during your session. We want you to feel safe, relaxed, and cared for.
  • After Your Massage: You may feel deeply relaxed, and sometimes a little light-headed — that’s normal. Take your time getting up, and drink water afterward.
  • Soreness: If this is your first massage, you may feel mild muscle soreness (similar to post-exercise). This usually fades in 24–48 hours.
  • Ongoing Care: One massage can help, but regular treatments are best for long-term results. Your therapist can suggest a schedule based on your needs.
  • No Need to Stress: Don’t worry about things like shaving, body shape, or being “too tight” — none of these matter. You’re here to feel better, exactly as you are.
